Apex Latex & Leathers was born from the floor of New York City’s oldest latex shop - literally.

In 2016, long before Apex had a name, its founder began working inside the Baroness Latex a space defined by decades of craft, ritual, and community. After some time into her tenure at this shop, Apex’s founder also became the submissive of the shop’s owner. Thus, in more ways than one, over the course of several years, techniques were passed down from hand to hand. Materials respected. Standards enforced not by hype, but by history.

Apex exists at the point where heritage reaches its highest expression—and then moves forward. A place where mastery is proven before evolution begins.

Every latex and leather garment we create is informed by the discipline of old-world rubber and leather work while rejecting stagnation. Apex designs for those who understand the past and continuously choose their own adventure for the future.

Latex and leather are not treated as opposites here. They are parallel languages. Fluid and reflective. Grounded and commanding.

The Apex Approach

  • Typically, every piece ordered from Apex will be made by hand just for you (the only exception to this is if we’re vending at an event - we LOVE seeing you in person). This also insures we’re not stockpiling excess materials unnecessarily. As such, please allow 2-3 weeks for your order to be processed and created. Please take this timing into consideration when placing your order.

    Latex in and of itself is a natural and biodegradable material, coming from the sap of Hevea brasiliensis trees.

    We source our leather from hides discarded from other fashion companies and houses.

    We also happily complete repairs not only for garments we’ve made, but if you need a garment repaired from another company as well.
